Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:

a time to be born, and a time to die;
time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;

time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;

In Christ Alone is one of my favorite songs. I loved the song before I heard the story behind it, but the story has only endeared me to the music and to the man behind the music. People often say that when their lives get overwhelming, they often think of the McConnell’s.

When my life gets overwhelming, I often think of Horatio Spafford.

Psalm 146 -1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul.
