The Journey Continues

In October of 2006 we entered the world of blogging to chronicle our journey to Ethiopia in pursuit of 3 boys – Zelalem Tadios(10), Bamora Belachi(9), and Yosef Tadios(8). In August of 2007, Zelalem, Bamora and Yosef became Noah (10), Josiah (12) and Caleb (8), and they all became McConnell’s. If you have kept up with our journey to this point then you will know it has been a wild ride. The Lord has watched over us continually and He has brought us through some pretty hairy times.

Today is Thursday, October 11, 2007 and all three boys are doing very well. We still have our ups and downs, but the rock throwing, knife pulling and head stomping have come to an end, at least that is what we hope. We now are a very diverse family of 9 and we have 7 sets of little feet running around the house. As of today, our children are Josiah (12), Noah (10), Caleb (8) Emma (8) and Makayla (7), Bri (3), and Ana (2). They are a great joy and every minute I have with them is a great blessing, in one way or another.

So, we have come to the end of our “Ethiopian” adventure, but the adventure most definitely has not ended. Our journey continues on and you are invited to continue traveling with us at this new blog site. I plan on continuing to blog about our lives, tell you our stories, and perhaps encourage you to keep on, keeping on in your own journey.
